From a Budget Camera to a Passionate Career
​
I never set out to be a professional photographer—I just wanted better pictures of my kids. Walmart and JCPenney were getting expensive, and let’s be real—everyone’s holiday card looked the same. Same stiff poses, same cheesy backgrounds, same forced smiles. So, I did what any determined mom would do—I bought a camera.
That’s where it all started. My kids became my first unwilling models—three of them loved it, three of them ran for their lives the second I pulled out my camera. (I won’t name names… but they know who they are.)
What began as a way to capture real moments turned into a passion—because let’s face it, life isn’t picture-perfect. It’s messy, beautiful, loud, hilarious, chaotic, and full of light. And that’s what I capture.
Why Natural Light Photography?

Ever notice how the best moments happen in sunlight? The way the golden hour kisses your skin, how the soft morning light makes everything feel calm, or how a sunset can make any moment feel magical? That’s why I’m obsessed with natural light photography—because it’s real, warm, and timeless.
No fake backdrops. No awkward studio lighting. Just you, glowing in your most natural and beautiful way.
And if you prefer an indoor session, I’ve got you covered! My natural light studio features south-facing windows that flood the space with the most dreamy, flattering light all day long. Whether you want an intimate boudoir session or a cozy, lifestyle shoot, my studio provides the perfect space to bring your vision to life—all without harsh, artificial lighting.
The Meaning Behind Solara Images

When I set out to name my photography business, I wanted something that truly represented who I am and what I bring to my work. My name, Elaine, means “she shines”, and I wanted that light—my light—to be a part of the name.
That’s how Solara Images was born.
"Solara" represents everything I believe in: light, warmth, and energy. It’s about capturing the feeling of a moment—the glow of a mother’s love, the quiet strength of a bride before she walks down the aisle, the raw confidence of a boudoir session.
Photography isn’t just about images—it’s about creating something that radiates. And that’s exactly what I do.
No Forced Smiles Here!

Let’s talk about kids for a second. I do NOT expect a forced, unnatural smile from your child at any session. Will I do my absolute best to make them smile? Of course! But my bigger goal is to create unique, authentic memories—for both you and them.
I can personally say I have some hilarious childhood photos because I cried… a lot. For absolutely no reason. And you know what? Those pictures are now my favorites!
So don’t stress if your little one pouts, frowns, or has a mini meltdown—we might just capture a legendary photo that’ll be wedding-speech-worthy one day.
Dance Like No One’s Watching (But Let’s Be Honest, I Hope They Are)
​
Listen, I don’t just dance—I bring the heat. Salsa, Cumbias, Bachata—if there’s a beat, I’m already moving. I’ve been known to turn my kitchen into a full-on dance floor, my living room into a bachata showcase, and, yes, if the right song comes on during your session, you might catch me busting out a move or two.
Could I win a dance competition? Probably. Do I have trophies? No. But should I? Absolutely.
So if you see me subtly swaying to the music during your shoot, don’t be alarmed. If you want to join me in a little two-step between poses, I fully support it. We will get those hips moving and those photos looking fire.

Eating like a foodie—But I’m Picky – I love food, but I’m particular (and seafood is still a no for me).
Cat Mom Life – My fur babies act like they own the place, and honestly, I just let them.
